The Shell Around Your Heart
I’m curious if you’ve ever heard this before, or some
version of it in your child-hood?
“It’s better to give than to receive.”
I sure have.
It sounds quite logical. Of course.
Unfortunately, it’s just another part of cultural
conditioning, based on ignorance, which makes a mess of
life itself, and puts a door stop in in the flow of love in
your life in the reverse direction.
It also prevents you from experiencing life, and all the
beautiful gifts it has for you.
Why?
Because that saying, actually comes from an ancient latin
proverb which says:
“It’s better to be in a position to be ABLE to give, than
in a position to ALWAYS have to receive.”
Wow - how simple, yet how obscured has a simple fact
become in our culture here in
the West 
What does this belief “It’s better to give, than to
receive” do for your life?
It prevents you from receiving!
And, manifests as the fear of love itself.
For example, when someone says “I love you” to you…
what is your conditioned response?
“I love you too!” Not even a second passes before your
response… you don’t even give yourself enough time to
fully absorb and receive the love flowing right at you
If you look closely… you’ll find fear there. Fear of
receiving love itself!
Or when someone gives you a gift… what’s almost always
the conditioned
response you see people “react” with?
“Oh no, I can’t accept that!”
“You should have!”
“No, I can’t take money from you”
With those conditioned responses, you’re further
programming the entire universe to stop sending you love,
gifts…
With this block… it’s no wonder so many of us struggle
our entire lives, in fear.
You could by pass this with the thought…
“Oh, it’s just being polite.” But I wouldn’t believe that
for a second… because if you look closely enough…
you’ll find fear there running the whole show.
We’re actually terrified of the very love happiness, and
fulfillment that we’re seeking.
Yes, deadly terrified!
What’s important to realize here is that this isn’t just
a personal problem…
Yes, it’s not just “your” problem. It’s a global
problem. We’re all terrified of love, terrified of that
which we’re seeking, real love…
How it manifests in the world? You don’t need an expert
to find out, just turn on the News for 5 minutes.
So now you see many personal development groups teaching
you “how to become a better receiver.”
This is harmless by itself, and can greatly improve the
situation of your life, and the ease at which fruitful
things come into your life…
But…
This teaching can also become a trap.
Because it can easily become another “obstacle” that you
have to over come on “your” path to love and success.
It can easily become another idea that you’ve added to
your personal sense of self.
Once you add the idea of being “a better receiver” to
your sense of self, you can compare your ability
to receive to others…
This is a trap because now you’ve made “receiving” /
“giving” as a means to an end for your own benefit….
(You’ve probably seen “fake” givers, people who give,
even if they look genuine, have a hidden agenda in their
heads )
What does it REALLY mean to become a better receiver?
It means: “The Openness To Everything That Arises, Both
Externally and Internally”
It means your heart is open.
Because that is what the fear of receiving REALLY is…
It’s not some personal twitch that you have to go to
seminars and read books about to remove.
It is simply the conditioned shell around your heart,
from child-hood.
The fear of being vulnerable.
Because… what does it REALLY feel like to receive?
It’s vulnerable… it means you have no control. It’s
terrifying.
And for that reason, we fear ir. We fear losing control.
So we walk around with shells around our hearts.
The paradox is… that on the other side of being
vulnerable lies the deepest bliss, joy, and true success…
More than any material object, situation, or relationship
could ever offer you
When you open your heart, vulnerably towards receiving in
your life… everything is 200% easier, things flow into
your life, instead of you having to struggle for them all
the time… and there is that much less suffering on Earth.
This is the bliss of life.
May all beings be free.

blessings K YOU KNOW ME ive been bothered by yu for long enough and i could never understand why i would just not unsubscribe.. al l kinds of dualistic reasons flashed across my mind top do so or not,, my inner magical child just would not do it so im here and happy . and i boufgt your @ sily@ dancing with the universe cds.. why becausemy inner child big wise heart that he is insisted and no its nt trily that the cds wil be silly
its that i know that im doing it again Buying stuff to pass on that might help others and im in the eyes of the world a fool((does that sound familiar) i see gold where others see dross and i dont ned them ~ i have in my heart the gold that none can hold ~as have you~ and yes k you appear to be a teacher and a laborour and you deserve your pay
i have folowed my dream also and deeply it doesnt include a long term inclusion of money fo r the planet (only life knows the truth)

YO K i’m back and another amission ive not read the beautiful wirds that you typed so lovingly here ..at least not yet ~ maybe some day?
i have read some of the essence though i.e. the titles and that describes so much.. and whatever about if we’re dreaming or hypnotized theres a beauty in the experiences of earth that has sooo many kaliedescopic
shades of gold . im so close k tothe ful remembrance of that awareness THAT I AM THAT I HAD IN CHILDHOOD.and the prophet Paul SIMON sang the nearer my destination the more i keep slipslidin’ away
and you know what theres a deep abiding affectinn growing within for the rream of living.. and the biter sweetening that i know that i have to go away. yet for what would be the simplest thing now i.e. switch off the old thought level.. ~ there was always a strong will to do that.. well now theres now a recognition of perhaps coming face to face with reality ~ reality being an equally strong wont..
may be the easy softening of boundaries is upon those sides and the tw’ain be one about now,,
